This Railroad Roman 1916 font is similar, but not an exact replication, of characters displayed on numerous railroad cars, engines and equipment used throughout North America and other areas of the world.

This type of lettering is very unique due to the extreme expanded style. Styles may include regular, bold, italic and bold italic. The 1916 represents the year when the railroad system within North America, was at the peak with the greatest miles of tracks laid across the continent.
